  Holes

The original nine holes at Great Cove that make up the front side opened in 1965, and the back nine holes were built in the early 90's - together both 9's make up the course today. The front nine plays long and makes for an enjoyable opening, while the back nine is tighter and more demanding on shot-making.

From the time you step out of your vehicle, you are on a roller coaster ride you won't soon forget. The opening hole at Great Cove, which is a Par 4 measuring 465 yards from the professional tees, sweeps from 4 sets of tees down to the fairway 70 feet below, and then rises 60 feet to a large undulating elevated green. Hang on for the next 2 hours!! Finally, two short par 4's that make up holes 14 & 15 are a great chance to work on your score by getting a birdie or two. For you "long-ballers", how about an eagle? The 17th hole is rated the most difficult - it requires both length and strategic placing of your drive. A par 5 of over 550 yards, the 17th will allow you to get ahead in your game, even with a par - and a birdie here will possibly set you up for a win. The final hole, #18, follows up the 17th as a 460 yard Par 4. One last chance to bomb your drive and get within reach of a mid iron shot to the large finishing green that is relatively flat, so you can have 1 last chance at a birdie to this memorable round.
